The 8's looks like a repeat of Cork in terms of the seniors but at least it got an inter entry this time. It will be great to see what UL and UCD have on offer in the big boat. Also with Trinity winning the inter 8's at trinity regatta and judging by the performance Bann put in in the heats at Queens regatta it should be a great event.
The coxed fours is looking like a real treat. Big entry, especially in the inter event so metro could be the event to lay down a marker and put a real stamp on the event. The sculls entry aswell is huge, again another event whch should definitly provide some great racing.
Is it just me or is there a notable lack of entries from UCD Ladies boat club? Maybe I just skipped over the name and am wrong but if not does anyone know why they are not attending what is essentialy (as part of the metro committee) their own regatta?

1700 metres...very possible in the 8 but wouldnt be sure sure of the scull....
Metro showed alot, muckross winning snr8 and u.l more surprisingly winning inter 8s, champs is wiiiide open this year nobody has real consistancy it seems bar st.micks snr pair there doing well for themselves....and skibb cleaining up in sculling catagories, looked like a good day looking forward to wateredge photos now!
