So Jr18 8+ looks set to be a good one this year with some of the main challengers for the pot going head to head, Presentation A & B, Portora, St.Josephs, Bann and Clonmel....Predictions?
I'd say Portora are confident after winning at Schools and Queens but St.Josephs result in Nottingham will put some pressure on them, while Bann and Clonmel could put up a strong fight.

Clonmel pulled a fast time at skibb regatta. My money is on them, looks like a great race is shaping up.

And Jr4+ Presentation, Portora, Coleraine, St.Josephs (possibly Coupe 4??), Athlone and Bann. Again, most if not all the competitors for the pot..... Should make for some good racing.

hmmm seems like a good days racing, well for the sweep boats anyway, the sculling not so much, it is a pity the metro racing was cancelled that junior quads race would have been good and the junior singles also would have been very interesting.
as for the 8s, it will be a close top 3, after that time Clonmel posted at Skibb regatta and then the close race between Bish and Portora after the schools race. interesting to see that Portora pulled there best quad and put in a second rate boat so that they didnt race any of the 8 before the 8 race, obviously they are a bit nervous that they arent going to just walk the 8's this year like everyone has been predicting, anyone else thinking the same.
athlone will be a good showing for forum, lets hope it doesnt go tits up like metro last week.
wonder will the Neptune quad stay a float long enough to make it down the course with week :-P

Well done Bish, very impressive in the 8 - Neptune also had a cracker of a day at J18 and J16 mens - J18 quad having to negotiate an oncoming crew going up to the start in their lane and still held out to win - Portora had a good win in the Womens Jun 8 over Commercial
