Times from Muckross cannot be taken seriously. There was no sense in some of the results that came out from that and as such it's very difficult to rely on any of the times.
As regards new boats, they're not that important. They may make a fast boat go slightly faster but it won't make a slow crew go fast, nor will it make a bad crew good. The only thing it may do is encourage confidence within a boat, but only to a certain extent.
