good to see the junior board has woken up again.
i'm only rowing about 2 years now so i never even knew there was an inter provincial, would someone explain for me? when did it end? did u trial to be on the team etc.....thanks!

I'm only rowing for 2 years myself,all I know is they ended a couple of years ago.

There was talk of it this year in Munster but it seemed to go to ground fairly quickly, ended up just being a training camp. I heard that they wanted to bring it back but the big shots in the IARU wouldn't let them. Probably because its not in the HP Program. It would be great to have it. It is something to aim for for those who may not be of the standard to aim for Ireland. It also promotes relationships between clubs which are usually racing against each other. It should definatly be brought back I think, but I'm sure the IARU have their good reasons for not holding it anymore

If inter pro's was brought in, would this mean you have to qualify for the Irish Championships like it's done in athletics? It would certainly make a smoother championships because we wouldn't have to do as many heats.

Inter Pro's were when the different provences chose squads and raced each other. I think they only used to be at junior 15/16 level aswell
