I think some people are getting a bit carried away with Bish at the moment, lets wait and see them race Bann and Portora (probably going to have to wait until athlone). Realistically it will be these 3 in some order in potentially 8's and 4's

Don't know what results you're looking at RTF but as fili said, there were no inter 8's at Cork and the Bish were beaten by all of the senior crews entered.
Even if you look at the Skib results they were off the pace of most of the senior/inter crews. Again looking at Queens the junior crews gave the senior/inter crews a good run in the heats but the got left behind in the final so it is going to be a really tough one to call. It will be interesting to see how the Portora guys go at Trinity but that being said a 2 lane race with a lot of bends isn't going to be the greatest of indicators.
I can't picture there being a showdown in the 8 between portora/bish/bann before champs so it should make for a very exciting and close race. Although I would expect the 4 to be more of a bish and portora affair.

Not disputing that. All I'm saying is that you cannot say a crew is a shoo-in for a pot (Example early Bann or Queens hype) until you have seen all contenders on the same field of play. The record books are littered with the carcases of "dead-certs".

True that even as recently as last season! Bann have only raced once all year(not including heads) so they havent proven much yet but still cant deny those classy perfomances at erne and london so im still gona stick by them for the moment and i think its a fare enough decision, bish have only raced skibb and cork but i dont think beating pres dosent really speaks volumes, not knocking them of course.
Hopefully all 3 will enter athlone like last year, athlone wont have the GL system so ther'll be no excuses for getting a harder heat etc....which will ultimately give a great form guide!

ok none of the bann guys went through the trialling system which u just have to do, i agree its a pity they didnt but it is their own fault for not trialling. hopefully next year they will but u cannot expect the selectors to send them if they dont show up to any national trials.

Whi no internationals from Bann ? not one ? luk what petre chambers Ireland Coupe done an he was bann last yearBann get de silver at de champs..wid de hole crew all back dis year. has no'un seen them or no'un lik them. funny system Ye lot up in coleraine arent that big headed about all this now are ye? ye'll only get yerselves hated with that, and chambers was a different class anyways to them. If they didnt trial ye cant complain about it, one of the closest clubs to newry its yer own fault ye didnt travel, cant well expect rowing ireland to knock on the door and ask ye to row for ireland..
