pres have improved a lot in the last year, dont see them taking the 4 though.. their composite coupe four couldnt even beat bish, how do you expect there 4 minus the two lee lads that are obviously faster than the two new pres lads to beat the bish??

never know on race day...id still go with the bish but if i were them id keep the pres lads in the corner of me eye...
if they were smart theyd scrap their 8 and focus on that 4, the bish will focus on both 8 and 4 so they might be able to make ground on them..

coupe and homes representitves the last few years and coupe pair this year...not the worst club now. last win was junior 2- in 05 i believe? last win in ireland probably something at portadown. good few MCB lads making up them 2 queens 8s aswell! There is less impressive clubs then them, leave em alone.. i was looking at results on iaru.ie and as far as i can see methody havent won any championships in the last five years. i think they won pairs one year in the ninetys but im not sure, but in 2005 that bish pair that went to worlds won it, if im thinking of the right year and rower47, i had raftery and connolly coach me quite a few lessons back in the day, they really get stuck into the physical side of things. no beating around the bush with those two

they did win the pair in the 00's, I think it was 2006, They have fallen from the standard they used to have and I'm sure as with the peaks and troughs every club has they will improve over time

Methody won the junior pair in 2004. it had the two Matt's in the boat, Matt Busby and i cant remeber the other lads second name. Thats the last championship won by Methody. But i hear they have a decent four this year.

Methody's men didnt go to champs last year and only raced the 18 4+ in 2008 in which they came third to the bish coupe 4 and the jes 4 with all those homes guys in it.

Actually they came 3rd to st.micks 4 with 3 coupe lads init and this bish 4, they beat the jes 4... Anyways this seems to be a bit of a methody disccussion...back to the question... 8s-bann for men, portora for women 4s-bish at the moment for mens, commercial for women pairs-pres on current form, bann too..but thats all the way in september they mitent even race it, commercial for womens quads-skibb for mens...no doubt..skibb for women? doubles-skibb for both sculls-hughes for men, eh skibb for women?

ya but the thing with bish bann and tribes, and maybe portora is that they havent raced a regatta in ages, and tribes havent raced this year with thier crew of ex galway and jes members. bann have been thumping portora and bish in the heads but i havent heard of them racing a regatta yet. anyone any info on that?
for women id say tribes will clean up most things again, they always seem to
does anyone know will they be running races of the smaller championship boats in the 8s and 4s champs and just not awarding medals or what? because it says that e.g. junior 15 and 14 singles and doubles will be raced and awarded medals but there is no mention of junior 18 small boat events at all. seems a little silly to me that they wouldnt is all...
