Carlsberg don't do regatta's but if they did they would come to Athlone for advice! A great day run on time it seemed without a hitch.
Just a thought for next year could the J14/15 get a rolling start so the could finish in front of family and friends,
Well done all at Athone

Great regatta. So much better than any of the 'grand' league regattas. They could certainly learn a thing or two about organisation! Despite a cross wind at the start, which got pretty strong in the afternoon, and loads of novice and junior boats getting onto stakeboats, there wasnt a single race in an 11 hour programme which was even a minute late.
Great job

Couldn't make it down there this year unfortunately but by the sounds of it was very well run so well done to Athlone for that.
Fantastic result for the Bann junior 8, exactly the result they needed going into championships, on the other hand a bit of a disaster for the Neptune 8, not really what they needed going into the championships.
Who was the closest junior crew to Bann and how far behind were they? Any hope of them being caught?
