IMPORTANT NOTES FOR CAPTAINS
It is imperative that all Club Captains read the following notes prior to the regatta.
CHAMPIONSHIP DECLARATIONS
IMPORTANT CHANGE
Event declarations must be confirmed (by signature) at or before the appropriate Captain’s meetings. However, Club representatives are encouraged to make on line declarations in advance of the regatta with the view of reducing the duration of Captain’s meetings. During the regatta, declarations will also be accepted at the regatta office which will be entered into tracker on behalf of your club. Once the Captain’s meeting has been convened, the status of declarations for all clubs recorded in tracker at that time will be used to complete the draw for each event on the following day. Up to this point, clubs who are in attendance or represented at the meeting can still amend their declaration for the events entered.
For events subject to time trial(only Men’s J16 1X), On-Line Declarations will close on Monday 12th July at 2.00pm (crews declaring on line for time trial who do not compete will subject to fine under the rules). At this time all Clubs entered in these events will be contacted to ensure their declaration has been captured. Should the number of declared entries for an event reduce below 24 then a time trial will not be necessary for that event.
Under no circumstances will a crew not declared be included in the allocation of lanes. Crews declared which subsequently fail to race shall be liable to a substantial fine unless the Club provides an explanation acceptable to the Board.
The above declaration process applies to both championship & non-championship events.

A Crew Numbering System rather than the current Lane Numbering System is being considered for the Championship events. It should serve to reduce the management of bow numbers for all clubs for each heat/race. Should this be implemented, a clear and simple process will be published before the event, and presented at the Captain’s meeting.
Should the lane numbering system be retained for this year, please note the following
