Recently it has been pointed out to Admin that there exists a potential exposure to litigious involvement should comments of a particular flavour be directed toward named individuals.

Admin is saddened that this view has been taken, and that the warning of potential future legalities has been raised.

Admin does not need this hassle. Or exposure.

Therefore, after this note is posted, all posts will be locked.

This discussion Board has grown from an inauspicious start to its current state where there are between 800 and 1200 pageviews per day, and 30+ users viewing during some busy times.

The Board has served as a channel for blowing off frustration, passing information, arguing of positions (reasonable and otherwise), correcting (!) other people’s views/history/spelling/grammar, etc.

Occasionally experienced heads might gently correct a factual inaccuracy.
Occasionally experienced or inexperienced heads might blow off biased, inaccurate, ill-informed steam – exciting the readership and initiating a discussion that pursues every tangent under the sun.

Occasionally someone may overstep the mark and be insulting, misogynist, biased in extreme...... In these cases Admin – who does have other roles in life other than watching the keystrokes of discussion-board devotees – will take action, removing off-colour or offensive posts, warning perpretrators, suspending subscribers, etc., as is adjudged necessary from time to time.

In total, we believe the balance has been good, and the formula worked.
